HM is high molecular weight high-density polyethylene (HM-HDPE), a stiff, crisp film used for synthetic book covers. In the market these covers are sold as "synthetic book covers", and that is what our boxes say.

Which synthetic cover is the thickest?

Unique is the thickest at 75 micron, with an embossed lining. Among the plain covers, Student JPPL is the thickest at 70 micron, then Student at 60, Vidhyarthi at 55 and Star at 50.

Which colours are standard?

Orange, pink, blue, brown, white and green are our standard colours. If you need another colour, ask us. We can make it to order.

Is China an imported cover?

No. China is simply the name of this design. It is made by JPPL, like every cover on this site.

Synthetic Book Cover Rolls (HM), 50 to 75 Micron

Every synthetic cover is 14 inch (355 mm) wide. The boxed designs are 8 m rolls, one per box. China comes without a box, five rolls to a pack.

Student JPPL is our star product and the best-selling cover we make. It carries the JPPL name and is the thickest of the plain synthetic covers at 70 micron, so it stays stiff on the book and does not tear at the corners through the year.

Student is the 60 micron plain cover. It is the middle choice between Student JPPL and Vidhyarthi, for retailers who sell a lot of covers at a mid price.

Vidhyarthi

Vidhyarthi (विद्यार्थी) is the 55 micron plain cover, with its name printed in Hindi on the box. It suits retailers who want a boxed synthetic cover at a lower price than Student.

Star

Star is our 50 micron plain synthetic cover, the lightest of the boxed range. It is the economical boxed roll for retailers who sell on price.

Unique

Unique is the thickest cover we make, 75 micron, with an embossed lining pattern pressed into the film. The embossing gives it a textured, premium feel, and it is one of our four best sellers.

China

China is a plain synthetic (HM) cover sold without a box, in packs of five, in 3 m (D11) and 4 m (D12) lengths. The name is just the name of the design: it is made by JPPL. It is the low-cost way to buy a plain coloured synthetic cover.
