Where Clear works best
- Printed notebooks. Keeps the school's printed cover, the subject and the student's name visible.
- Textbooks. A clear cover lets a child find the right book by its own front, without a label.
- Over a paper cover. Some parents cover a book with brown paper first and then put a clear cover on top. The clear layer keeps the paper clean.
Clear or a coloured cover?
Clear shows the book. A coloured synthetic cover hides it and lets a child sort books by colour. A printed cover does both jobs halfway. Most shops keep all three.
Buy a set online
PackSmith, our sister brand, sells a set of 4 boxed PP rolls online, including a transparent option (14 inch x 7.5 m). It is PP film, like our natural Floura, not the BOPP of Clear.
Questions buyers ask
Is Clear the same as the natural Floura cover?
No. Clear is BOPP film, which is glossy and crisp. Natural Floura is PP film, which has a softer, slightly milky look. Both are see-through. Many shops stock both and let the customer choose.
Which schools ask for transparent covers?
Schools that print the subject, the student's name or the school logo on the notebook itself often ask for a transparent cover, so the print stays visible all year.
